Cherwell Laboratories is a leading supplier of prepared microbiological media and environmental monitoring instrumentation for the pharmaceutical and related industries and also offers a fully integrated range of products for the validation of sterilisation processes. We are specialists in environmental monitoring and process validation for healthcare, pharmaceutical and industrial applications. Our product range includes Redipor prepared culture media, biological indicators, chemical indicators, microbiological air samplers and data loggers.

Founded in 1971, Cherwell Laboratories currently employs over 50 staff at its facility in the market town of Bicester, Oxfordshire. The site includes a cleanroom manufacturing suite, warehouse facilities, office space and an on-site engineering facility.

We are therefore committed to keeping our customers fully informed of any developments within the product range and encourage customer feedback at all times.

Despite significant growth over the years, we have retained our willingness and ability to supply smaller batches of Redipor prepared media for specialist, low volume users has been retained to offer true flexibility to the customer. We continually look at new developments whilst retaining our ability to offer bespoke solutions. This flexibility and our focus on excellence in customer service remain core principles within the Company.

Quality is critical

Our Redipor manufacturing facility has been registered to ISO9001 for many years and we have extended our scope to include the supply, service and calibration of SAS Air Samplers. Under quality management systems, our QA team continually develops and enhances our processes. We are always happy to welcome customers to our facility for audit purposes or just to visit.

Customer support facilities

Our engineering facilities not only provide full support to our manufacturing team but also to the large number of users of our environmental air monitoring equipment. This support for customers includes a calibration laboratory and the ability to manufacture our own equipment and bespoke solutions. This engineering capability has resulted in the development of the Multi-SAS system, a fixed, facility based microbial air monitoring solution.
