    Isolator/Filling Line Monitoring

    The challenge of isolator monitoring

Monitoring within Isolator cabinets and / or Grade A filling lines presents particular challenges. For example, within an Isolator, reducing the number of transfers into the cabinet is desirable, as it reduces the risks of contamination. Within filling lines, one of the main objectives is to reduce interventions, which not only add risk but also create downtime for production.

    Minimising contact

The SAS Isolator sampling system offers a solution in both environments. The Sampling head, which is manufactured in stainless steel, is permanently located within the Isolator cabinet so reducing transfers and risk. The Control unit is sited outside the cabinet for easy operator use. As the connection between the two is only electrical, installation is also relatively easy and inexpensive.

    Bespoke monitoring solutions

Cherwell has taken the standard Isolator system, and working with pharmaceutical clients, offered a bespoke solution to more closely match the needs of Grade A Filling line monitoring. Special versions of the sampling heads are mounted on pillars to bring the sampling point close to point of fill. These heads are wired out to a control unit mounted outside the Grade A area.
