ISO9001:2000 success for Redipor
Cherwell Laboratories is among the first UK based prepared media manufacturers to successfully achieve transition to the new ISO9001:2000 quality management standard for it's Redipor range of Prepared Media.
During an intensive 6 month period, Cherwell's quality management team worked closely with a consultant from BSi to process map the business. The result is an effective, streamlined management system which allows real scope for continual improvement.
"Our main goals were to reduce documentation and produce a system which truly reflects our business processes, not just the standard" says Andrew Whittard, Quality Manager at Cherwell Laboratories. He continued, "The new standard is very customer focused and was easy to align with our company philosophy. We have always believed in the importance of customer satisfaction and our new system fully embraces this belief. This stronger management system will perform a vital role in the future devlopment of our business"
The Redipor range is renowned for high quality within the pharmaceutical industry. The transition to the new 2000 version of ISO9001 demonstrates the company's commitment to improving still further both product quality and service. The range of products, which include gamma irradiated plates for cleanroom use and an extensive range of bottled broths, successfully combine both performance and cost effectiveness.
