Microbial
monitoring for Isolators
The range of samplers
within the SAS family has been extended
and now offers an extensive selection of solutions for microbial
monitoring.
The SAS Isolator features an all stainless steel sampling
head for use within an Isolator. The head is connected
through the cabinet out to the control unit. This
reduces the need for the sampler to be continually passed
into the cabinets and minimizes contamination risks.
Individual heads can be supplied thus allowing one control
unit to be used for multiple sampling heads.

Microbial
monitoring of compressed air
The
monitoring of compressed air is becoming more important
within manufacturing facilities. The SAS Pinocchio
is a non powered unit. Air flow from the compressed
supply is regulated through a flow meter before passing
through a traditional SAS sampling head. The
Pinocchio provides a controlled method for bioburden monitoring
of compressed air and other gases.

Facility
based microbial monitoring system
Of specific interest
to the pharmaceutical industry, Cherwell’s in house
developed system called Multi-SAS offers greater flexibility
and control of environmental monitoring programs.
A bespoke system, the remote sampling units are installed
into the clean room and connected to a central control unit.
Dedicated monitoring programs can be readily established
and controlled from outside the clean room.

Particle Counters
Monitoring within controlled environments must consider all particles, not just viable particles. The SAS range provides solutions for viable monitoring and this complimented with the Lighthouse range of Particle counters.
The popular units include a hand held model which samples 0.1CFM and portable units which sample 1.0 CFM. All models feature easy to use colour touch screens and standardized reporting functions to meet GMP or ISO requirements. The Lighthouse range is available through Cherwell and is fully supported in the UK by Facility Monitoring Systems.
