The challenges of autoclave validation

Traditional autoclave validation involves the complicated and time consuming job of introducing many thermocouple wires into the autoclave chamber. This can be very time consuming, not only in fitting the probes through some kind of port but also in placing them within the load. The thermocouples also require qualification before and after use to identify any offset.

Wireless benefits

Wireless devices offer many benefits. They are much easier to place within the autoclave load, either within the product or just located within the chamber. As wireless devices typically use alternative temperature probes to thermocouples, pre and post verification is not necessary. Both of these factors mean autoclave validation can be completed much quicker so minimising downtime.

Real time data logging

The addition of real time wireless logging also allows QA personnel to quickly identify any issues within a cycle and initiate corrective action.
