Air Sampler Calibration

Cherwell Laboratories provides a regular reminder and recalibration service for all models of SAS air samplers maintaining the highest levels of confidence in the data. Air sampler calibrations are normally performed at our premises in Bicester but if required can be carried out on-site. A detailed Certificate of Calibration is issued upon completion.

Air samplers are designed to sample known volumes of air and are vital instruments within any environmental monitoring program. The flow rate of any air sampler should be checked to ensure the volume of aspirated air is consistent and the instrument is working correctly. This will help to avoid errors in the monitoring of contamination in an environment.

We recommend that recalibration is performed every 6-12 months and also if the air sampler has potentially been damaged or the flow rate has been compromised.
